Now, on to the business of the day…
Signal to Noise. The ratio of static or clutter that masks the true message or meaning. That’s social media right now for sure.
Not sure what I mean? OK
Imagine the old days of trying to tune an AM radio. You want the ballgame or the Grand Ole Opry. You twist and tune, but weather, atmosphere, or other factors are creating static. Noise.
You can sometimes hear the game or the music, but often it is drowned out by the static. You have the signal, but the noise is overpowering it. You can’t get the message for all the noise.
That, friends, is where I’m at on social media right now. Pick your platform, it doesn’t matter. Facebook is as bad as Twitter is as bad as Facebook.
We knew it was coming. We didn’t know how bad.
Politics were bad enough, we planned for this a year ago. But the Chinese virus, the Scaredemic, the Scamdemic, the Supreme Court, Vanilla ISIS (Antifa) and well, everything else, has drowned out the messages. The Signal.
My Signal is honor, integrity, and yes, humor. But I’m not talking about politics and I’m not arguing with internet experts on topics that none of us really have any influence over. What’s the point?
There isn’t one.
My Signal remains. I am broadcasting.
Are you tuning in?
This is the Station.
