The great thing about being in the leadership space is the help and mentoring you get from a lot of people. Community leaders to CEOs will usually take time to talk with you if you’re approachable, respectful, ask politely and respect their time.
Jon Rennie, who has written multiple books, has a great podcast and well, is also a CEO, recently gave me some great advice about ‘puzzle pieces’ as it relates to people leaving the workplace. (As mentioned in a previous email) Please go check out Jon’s site.
Sometimes people and things just aren’t going to work out and fit into your plans. They’re like pieces to a jigsaw puzzle that just don’t belong to the puzzle you’re working on. Doesn’t make them or it a bad piece to a puzzle, it just doesn’t fit yours.
And that’s OK. For you and them or it.
If you’re a compassionate and caring leader, you’ll help them find a puzzle they DO fit into or you’ll fix or change the thing that isn’t working for you. After all, if you’re a leader, you’re in charge of the vision and the path to carry it out.
Find the pieces that fit your puzzle and go forth and solve it.
Lead forward.

I'm glad you wrote that down. I don't think I've ever written about the puzzle concept.
I appreciate you sharing it with me, it has helped a lot in my situation lately. Thanks again
