As you know, I did an entire book ( memoir ) of those days growing up in a small Southern town, so our grandchildren will understand a part of their legacy.

I enjoy writing and I think of Mrs. Synan when I write, and all of the teachers, in school and my life, who have shaped who I am. As I age, I feel sharing the values and morals I was raised with are important to pass along.
