Man, it’s been a minute hasn’t it?
Yeah, I’ve fallen off the writing thing and let a lot of good content slide by.
Why? Lazy, I guess. But there is hope.
After a lot of life changes recently and a lot of reflection, decided some thing you all need to know.
First, I’m shutting this email list down, it’s time for a change and a change of focus.
Second, good news is I’m starting a new email list, and I think it’s going to fit better into my mindset and be more useful to all of you.
Third, I’m going to do a lot more visuals, in the form of videos and audio broadcasting, helps get that message out mo’ better.
So, what do you need to do?
Go on over to https://paintedporch.substack.com/about and subscribe to get on the new list. What’s it about?
Well, good question. I’ve recently realized a connection, through study, that the early Stoics had something going on. It influenced the early churches, and more recently in my history, a lot of the good ol’ southern pearls of wisdom my Pops handed down to me were just variations on things that the early Greek philosophers knew.
So my focus now is using philosophy that my Dad taught me to reach a new audience and maybe help us all grow a little bit and remember to appreciate the life we have and to be kind and do good works.
Join me, won’t you?
Thanks for all of you that have read and supported the Rudder and Compass over the years, it’s been fun, if sporadic, and I’ve enjoyed sharing with you.
Hope to see you on the Painted Porch. Grab a ice tea (or something stronger) sit on down in the rocker and let’s chat a while.
See you soon.
