The first rule of Granny fight club is don’t talk about Granny fight club.
What???
LOL, I’ll tell you. We went out Saturday, had to get out of the house. We live a couple hours drive from Delaware, up near Philly, and decided to run up there to take advantage of a nice day and some sales tax free shopping.
By the way, before we get to fight club, if you didn’t know some Costcos have liquor sales, find one and get there if you like to imbibe. 1.75 litre bottles, label under Costco’s Kirkland Brand, for a steal. Crown Royal equivalent for $15 a bottle, vodka, tequila, irish whiskey and even 12 and 21 year old Scotch, distilled and aged in Scotland.
Anyways, we went over to Christiana Mall, once one of the largest malls on the East Coast, to pick up some things. You can tell that the stimulus checks are in. All the south Philly thugs and thugettes were out stimulating the economy.
We have a favorite Chinese food place there, and the food court is finally open. Yep. Even in Delaware. Of course, no masks required in the food court, cause we all know the Wuhan Flu is repelled by food and drink.
As we were enjoying some sesame chicken, I noticed a kerfuffle stirring a few tables over. As I focused on what was happening, I saw a young black female tussling with an ‘elderly’ black lady over what at first appeared to be her purse. A lady and her 3 kids were right by it, so I got up to go make sure the fight didn’t run them over. I didn’t have to intervene in the fight and here’s why…
Just as I was going to grab the young lady and hold her for the security guards that were coming, Granny raired back and knocked the living color out of the young girl. Granny was screaming “Little bitch tryin’ to take my money” “Little bitch you best get off me” as she continued to wallop the ‘little bitch’. I wasn’t getting anywhere near that.
Turns out, security and a State Trooper showed up and saved the girl from her Grandmother. Yep, it was a granddaughter trying to steal from her own Grandmother.
But, little sister picked the wrong Granny and the wrong day to try to be a thug, Granny gave her a beat down. But good.
The lessons in this should be obvious. It’s an entertaining story, but in the end, it’s a sad story. It’s sad that kids have so little respect for their elders, their family and themselves. It’s sad that so many people’s first reaction was to reach for their phone to video it, instead of either breaking it up, trying to get help, or make sure no one was in the line of the struggle and would get hurt. Just sad.
But hey, if there’s a silver lining, I’m hoping the young lady learned a lesson, Granny held her ground and gave Seniors a good showing and reinforced what we should have all learned early in life.
Don’t mess with Grannies.
