No, this email isn’t about mean canines and the doctors that treat them. That’s Animal Planet stuff, not something from Chief Chuck.
No, today is 10 November, birthday of the United States Marine Corps. So here’s to all my Devil Dog Brothers and Sisters out there and here’s to 247 years since that group gathered in Tun Tavern in Philadelphia.
Sailors and Marines have always enjoyed a healthy rivalry, poking jokes at each other and just giving each other what for most of the time. It is like a big brother/little brother relationship. (And a reminder to all the the navy is the Big Brother)
But in the end, we know we are there for each other and will fight for one another to the very end. And we join forces in particular to make fun of the Air Force.
So here’s to you Marines, Semper Fidelis!
Tomorrow also makes Veteran’s Day. A day set aside to show our appreciation for all the have served our Nation in service and have worn the cloth of our country. I’d also like to take a line say thanks to all the families of veterans, thank you for the support, keeping home running while we were on the road or waves. I also want to thank all those wonderful civilians I work with daily, some that have devoted their lives to providing the weapons of war for those of us on the tip of the spear.
Bottom line, here’s to those that have chosen to be a part of something bigger than themselves. Thanks to all Veterans, thanks to those that have supported us, and here’s to the Marine Corps.
Thank you all from a grateful Chief Chuck.

Thanks Chief! Semper Fi and thank you for your service!
I, too, am grateful! But I will not make fun of the Air Force :-)
